Jill graduated from the University of Warwick with a BA Honours degree in Music and Drama and studied advanced vocal technique with Annette Thompson at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Jill has experience in a variety of musical genres, including classical, musical theatre, opera and pantomime, she has performed as a Principal Soloist at the London Palladium and in numerous west end and local musical theatre productions. She has performed many Proms in the Park concerts and regularly performs at weddings, christenings and funerals, along with engagements at charity events, concerts, oratorios and numerous corporate events throughout the UK.

 

Alongside her solo career, Jill teaches musical theatre, voice, piano, flute, theory to Diploma level and has trained and conducted prize-winning choirs of all ages; these have ranged from small madrigal and close-harmony ensembles, to mass choirs of over 400 singers.

 

Jill is passionate about group singing being accessible for all members of the community and she started The Wing Singers in 2015 and is extremely proud to be the Musical Director of Wendover Singers since it’s inception.
